Warm Up with Studio Blue Yoga & Fitness

A Day in the Life Health & Fitness Kids

Though it may be mid February, and spring just around the corner, it is still so cold outside!  How good does it sound to cuddle in front of a fireplace in cozy sweats and stay warm?

Though for those of us who like to stay active and fit in the winter, there is a great way to stay warm and get the benefits of being physical.

Introducing Toronto’s newest playful yoga studio, Studio Blue Yoga & Fitness. Owner and Certified Yoga Instructor Jessica McIntyre came up with Studio Blue due to her love of the practice and being outdoors on warm sunny days.  She’s made her studio feel just that – outside on a sunny day.

The studio is kept at 26 degrees and is full of LED and fluorescent lights so while you are in class, you feel you are right in the sun.

Not only is this studio amazing for all levels of yoga lovers, they also have mom and tot classes.  What better way for new moms to get in shape post baby!  The studio pride’s themselves on physical fitness but their motto is everyBODY is welcome.

The studio is located in Dundas West and offers a unique variety of classes for all levels and fitness interest including:

• Yoga Boot Camp: By combining yoga and boot camp, it’s a way to
take fitness to a new level with routines meant to build strength.
• Ballet Yoga Fusion: A class combining ballet, yoga and Pilates movements
in a boot camp framework.
• Hangover Helper: A gentle flow to detoxify internal organs and improve functioning of the lymphatic system.
• Foundation Flow: Beginners start here and you will be hooked!
• For more hardcore yogis try Dynamic Flow or Viscosity Vinyasa: More demanding flows with in-depth postures.

In addition to their regular drop in schedule of classes, Studio Blue also offers special classes throughout the year including a fun and playful “Toddler & Parent Yoga” class that is filled with games, and partner activities and Men’s Only “Bro-Yoga” classes.

For the last 7+ years I have immersed myself in the "mom life". My blog, appropriately named Me, Myself and Kids is my life; the challenges, the laughter, and the tears. But I also offer my own version of motherly advice. In doing so, I’ve designating myself as an MD or “Mom Doc”. Not because I know it all. Don’t get me wrong. It’s an open perspective; my learnings shared so you can take the good, bad and ugly and adapt it to your own family life. So please join me as I share all of the crazy and overwhelming thoughts and experiences of the mom life with Me, Myself and Kids.
