Doesn’t it feel like back to school has snuck up on us faster than ever this year? It sure did for me! Is your kid even ready? Are you?! With only a few short weeks until class is back in session, the only thing on my mind is getting my kids ready for school. It seems like every summer my kids outgrow everything they wore to school just a few months ago! Luckily my youngest loves getting hand me downs from his older brother! That said, new pants and new tops are a must. And thankfully Sears Canada makes it easy. They have stocked up on stylish, affordable Back-to-School (as well as Back-to-Campus) essentials.

Sears’ colourful selection of reasonably priced clothing, footwear and backpacks has arrived, and they’re ready to grace the classroom! Kid’s denim, jeggings, sweat and cargo pants give every student the chance to rock their “first day” outfit, without breaking the bank.

Got an older kid who is off to college? Not to worry because Sears Canada has your big kid covered too! From what I remember, post-secondary comes with its own unique (and sometimes pricey) shopping list.

But who wants to go spend hundreds of dollars on new clothes and accessories? Not me. Especially when I know that in no time my son will outgrow the new clothes and need even more! So, I was up to the challenge to put together back to school looks that my son (and my wallet!) would love from the Sears Canada private label line. And get this, I did it in all under $100!! And you can too!

How you ask? Easy. Make your list of all the essentials you need, log in to Sears Canada, and with their easy to use navigation system, you will find all of the items you need and more!

Have I mentioned that I love online shopping? 🙂 Of course you can always go in store too.

Here is my list and tips for shopping BTS and my Sears private label favs that I picked up for my kids:

For everyday:

My son loves going to school in comfy sweatpants and long sleeve t’s. Some of our fav’s included the Boys Fleece Jogger Pants ($14.97) and the Boys Long Sleeve Graphic Tees ($9.97 / currently on promo for 2 for $15!)

For outdoors:

The weather this summer has been so crazy so who even knows what our fall is going to look like! Of course my son’s feet also grow practically overnight, so I couldn’t resist the Boy’s Charlie rain boots ($14.97)

For lunch:

With litterless lunches and a boy under 5 years old, I get everything back in my little one’s lunchbox. Needless to say, last years lunch box was destroyed and so this year he needed a brand new one. Obviously he chose a superhero with the Spider Man Econo Lunch Bag ($9.97)

For the last 7+ years I have immersed myself in the "mom life". My blog, appropriately named Me, Myself and Kids is my life; the challenges, the laughter, and the tears. But I also offer my own version of motherly advice. In doing so, I’ve designating myself as an MD or “Mom Doc”. Not because I know it all. Don’t get me wrong. It’s an open perspective; my learnings shared so you can take the good, bad and ugly and adapt it to your own family life.
