I know I’m not alone when I say “me time” is limited these days. Well, not so much these days but more so over the last 8 years since having my first child. I try to do things as much as I can to get some alone time. I take an hour at least 4 mornings a week to workout. I’ll go for a manicure. You know, typical things that one would enjoy to get some well deserved time on your own.

It’s not often you will find me by myself. Yes, I am independent, but I’m typically not alone often, at least for an extended period of time. I remember a day recently where both kids went out with their father and I was going to have the house to myself for 2 hours.

Needless to say I was excited to get some quiet time in…I poured myself and bubble bath, I played on my iPad on the couch…but if I’m honest, I was done after only about an hour. I was all like “what’s next?” “When are the kids going to be home?”

It’s funny that as moms we all (or at least majority I know) crave the alone time. But when we get it, we want to be back with our children. I’ll be baffled by that one for a while!

Last week I was lucky to be offered the opportunity to spend the day at Ste. Anne’s Spa. By myself. For 6 hours.

I was all over it. And let me tell you it was one of the best things I have ever done.

I spent the entire day basically half naked, in a comfortable white robe and bathing suit. And I got to treat myself to hot tubs, steam rooms, pure quiet, and a heavenly spa treatment.

It was magical. I really didn’t think I could spend that amount of time by myself with no one really to talk to and really be alone. But I was. And I loved every single moment.

For these reasons, not to mention Valentine’s Day is around the corner, I really want you to be able to experience a day like this too. And here is why:

IT’S A GREAT WAY TO UNWIND

There are a wide range of facilities to use when you are waiting for/finished your spa treatments. Sauna’s, hot tubs, cold plunge pool, lap pool, a Eucalyptus steam room. I spent half hour in the hot tub. It was so relaxing. And then I went into the steam room which was amazing!

There are more to choose from like walking trails and stables, but due to going in the winter time, I wasn’t able to enjoy that. Just means I have to go back in the summer!

The grounds are amazing and definitely want to be able to enjoy the walking trails, garden and outdoor pool next time.

THE FOOD!

The all inclusive day spa experience comes with a 3 course lunch and an afternoon tea. Food always makes for a great getaway don’t you think? The dining area is well lit, with great views of the grounds.

THE TREATMENTS

Ste. Anne’s offers so many amazing spa services it was really hard to choose what to get since my package only had one.

I chose the Signature Facial and loved every second of it. I was so sad when it was over!

It started with a 10 minute foot rub with essential oils and a special scrub. A perfect way to get even more relaxed!

After the foot rub, you lie down on a table (which felt more like a bed) for a relaxing, holistic facial experience. Their facials are done solely with their special line of products without the use of machines, steam or manual extractions. It was different from what I was used to but it felt incredible.

aloneCreams, gels, cleansers, you name it were used (it’s based on your skin tone) and my face got one of the best deep cleans and massages it has ever felt! I was even told I was glowing afterwards!

Going to Ste. Anne’s really was the perfect gift I could give myself. We all need some alone time, am I right mom’s?

Regardless of whether you go alone, with a friend or a loved one, trust me when I say it is one of the best things you can do for yourself. We all deserve it, so get to it 😉

Thanks to our friends at Ste. Anne’s, we would love you to experience a day away too. They are offering one lucky reader an all inclusive day spa FOR 2!!
