Family brunch on the weekends was always a big thing when I was growing up. My family would make a point of having at least one weekend morning meal together. And now I try to do the same with my family.
Between hockey games or practices, and my husband training for his next race, weekend meal times are typically not held together. But I made a point of scheduling a date where we were all free so we could all enjoy a home cooked brunch together.
French toast brunches became quite popular in my house, but there were only so many mornings the kids wanted that. So what else is a kid favorite? WAFFLES!!!
Now that March Break is here, we needed to upgrade our family staycation plans with one of the best kitchen companions from our friends at Hamilton Beach! It was the perfect way turn family time at home into fun memories. And let me tell you, the Belgian Style Flip Waffle Maker brought a lot of excitement into our kitchen.
The kids were super excited. They had no idea how this small but mighty appliance could cook their waffles. We chose toppings and additional ingredients for each person, and off we went!
The waffle maker is simple to use and you literally have your personalized waffles in under 5 minutes. You just open the lid and spray with a non-stick spray, plug it in so that the red power light is on, and wait for the green ready light to come on. Pour in your batter, flip, and that’s it.
