3 Ways To Support Your Skin This Summer

A Day in the Life Health & Fitness Skincare and Beauty Things We Love Tried & Tested

Do you change up your skincare routine with the seasons?

Some people do need to switch some products or add products depending on their needs.
But there are a number of ways to support your skin no matter what the season that will continue to give your skin the support it needs.

Here are 3 ways you can take care of your skin this summer:

✨Exfoliate
During the summer months it is important to exfoliate. We are out in the sun for longer periods of time potentially resulting in our skin becoming drier or adding a layer of dead skin if we burn. Adding in an exfoliator a few times a week is a great way to remove dead skin cells, open up your pores and effectively remove impurities, makeup, dirt and excess oil. My favorite is the BrightenUp Skin Exfoliator with Apricot Seed

✨Moisturize
First step is to make sure you are using a good sunscreen! But after a long day outdoors, we need to make sure we are rehydrating our skin. Applying a good moisturizer to help replenish the skin is key. My 2 go to’s are the AgeWell Moisture Restoring Cream and the Arbonne Intelligence Rejuvenating Cream

✨Hydrate!
Drinking water and staying hydrating is one of the best ways to support our skin. When we are hydrated we flush out those toxins. But take your water to the next level by adding in flavour! This will promote drinking more and add that refreshment you need. Best way to add some flavour in is Fizz Sticks! My new fav flavour is the Blood Orange. Not only is it refreshing, but also has nutritional benefits too.

So tell me, how do you nourish your skin? ?

For the last 7+ years I have immersed myself in the "mom life". My blog, appropriately named Me, Myself and Kids is my life; the challenges, the laughter, and the tears. But I also offer my own version of motherly advice. In doing so, I’ve designating myself as an MD or “Mom Doc”. Not because I know it all. Don’t get me wrong. It’s an open perspective; my learnings shared so you can take the good, bad and ugly and adapt it to your own family life. So please join me as I share all of the crazy and overwhelming thoughts and experiences of the mom life with Me, Myself and Kids.
