As many of you know I was dreading the month of October for a number of reasons. My mat leave was ending, my baby was turning 1 and starting daycare, I was going back to work and my mother was getting results from her CAT scans.
It was a whirlwhind of activity over the past couple of weeks and I’m happy to report, I MADE IT!!!
Yesterday was a day of many firsts…it was my sons first full day of daycare and he had an amazing day. I got up early, got myself and the two boys ready, fed and to school. I went in to the office for my first day of work. I picked up both boys on time, managed to prepare dinner before there was any crying of hunger, got them both bathed and ready for bed and all before 630pm.
I DID IT!!! The dreaded ‘first day’…the day I wasn’t prepared for and didn’t know if I could handle. But I did, albeit exhausted!
I am also happy to report that my moms scans all came back clear. She is doing well and that is all that I can ask for.
So, October wasn’t really so bad. Its funny that when we don’t know what to expect, we fear the worst.
But I will say, that I give kudos to all the working moms out there who manage to do it all. I hope that I can exceed my own expectations!!
