A few months ago I came across a post written by a friend blogger, My So Called Mommy Life, where she lists 10 things that we don’t know about her.
Shortly after, another blogger friend Mayahood decided to give it a try too.
I loved learning these new little tidbits about them and decided I would do the same. So thanks Maya and Renee! And if you don’t follow them or read their blogs, I definitely think you should start!
Here we go:
1 – I love reality television. From Big Brother, Survivor to The Bachelor series (and lets not forget about Bachelor in Paradise), to anything HGTV and of course the food network. ADDICT.
2 – I’ve been watching a soap opera for most of my child and adult life. I’m hooked on Days Of Our Lives. I PVR it everyday so I don’t miss a thing.
3 – I broke my leg when I was 5 years old. My older and wiser sister and I were jumping on her bed one night. Of course I listened to everything she told me (she WAS older and wiser…) She told me to close my eyes, so I did. Next thing I knew my leg was wrapped around the post of her bed, I was screaming, my mom was on the phone in her room, and my sister carried me in to the bathroom and put my leg under cold water. At least thats how I remember it, I may have to get my mom to confirm!
4 – I had abdominal surgery when I was 6. I had some serious stomach issues when I was a baby and my parents decided that I needed to get checked out internally. Doctors found nothing. And one day (I think I was nearing my teens) it stopped. Still have no clue what it was all about.
5 – After I graduated from University with my B.A I travelled across Europe with my girlfriends for 8 weeks. 8 countries in 8 weeks. Loved every minute of it. (Thanks mom and dad)
6 – I wanted to be a lawyer or have a job in the legal world and went to school to become a Paralegal after I graduated University (and got back from Europe). I graduated, got my degree/diploma, but never actually went into the field.
7 – I’ve been working in the restaurant industry for 18 years and the food industry has become my life and my career
8 – My very first job as a teenager was as a cashier at Hy & Zel’s (its no longer around)
9 – I get moody when I’m hungry or haven’t had a coffee. Trust me…you don’t want to be around me. Just ask my husband 🙂
10 – I met my husband on line. We became friends first and we realized we wanted more than a friendship. He’s been my best friend for the last 9 years and we are about to celebrate our 7 year wedding anniversary in 2 weeks.
Us in 2006!
