If you are anything like me, sleep is one of the most important things. I’m not a morning person, never have been and likely never will be. Before kids I was the one waking up at whatever time in the morning (or afternoon). But since kids, well, its taught me the true value of sleep.
I remember my sister telling me when I was pregnant for the first time that I will never sleep again. Well, she was right. It takes alot out of you being a parent with a new born, or a bad sleeper, or when there are nightmares, or…when there is Daylight Savings!! Now don’t get me wrong, I love when winter comes to an end. I love how it doesn’t get dark at 4:30pm anymore. But c’mon people, losing sleep?! Can’t this whole “spring forward” business be done without actually losing out on precious z’s?
The LAST thing we need is for our kids to wake up when its ‘actually’ 6am. Then of course it messes up their day because when we put them to bed at 7:30pm, its ‘really 6:30pm’. THEY KNOW. IT’S STILL LIGHT OUTSIDE!! And then there’s the back and forth about going to bed and really, it’s just me who wants to go to sleep.
We made plans with my parents for Z to sleep there on Saturday night. Totally forgot at the time that we spring those clocks forward. So for their sake, I hope they get the sleep they need cause when Z is up, he’s up. And when the clock says 8am, we still know the truth…
So for now, I’ll just suck it up and get it over with and hope for the best Sunday morning. Besides —>
