4 months later: AfterShokz Final Review

A Day in the Life Family Health & Fitness Parenting Reviews & Giveaways Things We Love Tried & Tested Win This

Over the last 3+ months you have read my posts about the AfterShokz Trekz Air headphones. Now here we are, almost 4 months later, and I can honestly tell you, we love them.

4 months later

We have used them in so many different ways. My husband uses them for running and cycling, and I use them for at home fitness workouts, podcasts and just when I want time to myself. I have also started using them when I’m needed on a web meeting in the evenings. Allows me to be present for the kids if they need me, but still be focused on what I need to listen to.

Some of you know that I have been extremely nervous now that my husband is starting to train outdoors again. But because of the AfterShokz, I’m way more at ease knowing his ears aren’t covered and he is open to his surroundings. It really makes a huge difference.

So what is it exactly that we love about them? Here are our top 3 reasons:

Bone Conduction Technology

The AfterShokz headphones are made with bone conduction technology which means they deliver music through your cheekbones, ensuring ears remain completely open to hear ambient sounds. You truly are completely open to your surroundings. This is a life changer for me as a mom, who is always busy doing something. And they are a game changer for my athlete husband when he heads to the basement treadmill or outside to train for his IronMan.

Battery Life

You can enjoy six hours of music, podcasts, and calls on a single charge! My husband trains for 4-6 hours every weekend, so knowing that the music will last him throughout his training is perfect. And for me, I don’t have to worry about running out of a charge for a call or for a podcast. I don’t know any other piece of technology that last for 6 hours.

Comfort and Style

The AfterShokz are 20% lighter than other headphones and their wraparound design offers a flexible fit. My husband sometimes forgets that he’s wearing them! They are so lightweight and flexible that he even fit them under his helmet. And don’t worry ladies if you have long hair because they are wireless and don’t get tangled up! Truly easy wear, every day.

As for the style, they come in 4 different colour options; Slate Grey, Forest Green, Midnight  Blue and Canyon Red. Which I think is my fav 🙂

I really was amazed from the very first day we saw them. They were like nothing we had ever seen or tried before. And almost 4 months later, we are still so pleased with them, I don’t think we will ever go back to regular ear/headphones. And I know you’ll feel the same way. Which is why our friends at AfterShokz wants you to win 1 of 3 AfterShokz prize packs!

The prize pack will include : Trekz Air Headphones, water bottle, Black Sport Belt, Portable Large Case & Sport Towel

For the last 7+ years I have immersed myself in the "mom life". My blog, appropriately named Me, Myself and Kids is my life; the challenges, the laughter, and the tears. But I also offer my own version of motherly advice. In doing so, I’ve designating myself as an MD or “Mom Doc”. Not because I know it all. Don’t get me wrong. It’s an open perspective; my learnings shared so you can take the good, bad and ugly and adapt it to your own family life. So please join me as I share all of the crazy and overwhelming thoughts and experiences of the mom life with Me, Myself and Kids.
